About
Why SpecSheet exists.
Every shop that sells used PCs has had the argument. SpecSheet was built to end it with a record.
The argument
A customer comes back weeks after buying a PC. The battery was already worn. The memory is not what they paid for. It was never ready for Windows 11. Without a record of the machine on the day it was sold, it is your word against theirs, and the customer usually wins.
The tools most shops use do not help. A free utility shows a reading on a screen, and a screenshot of it says nothing about when it was taken, which machine it came from, or where the number came from.
The record
SpecSheet is that record: dated, every value with its source, the same checks on every PC. It follows one rule above all. It never guesses. A value it could not read is written down as not read, with the reason, never filled in. A report that says "not checked" where it could not check is one a customer cannot pick apart.
What we hold to
- Nothing is guessed, rounded away or filled in
- Nothing about a scanned machine ever leaves it
- One price, no subscription, no account
- Scanning and reading stay free for ever
Who makes it
SpecSheet is made by LightLoad Labs, a small software company in the USA. Questions, problems, or a report that looks wrong: write to [email protected].
Try it on the next PC that comes in.
