SpecSheet

Terms and refunds

Not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This page is written plainly and honestly, and it is a placeholder for terms that somebody qualified has read. Do not treat it as finished.

Refunds: 14 days, no questions

If SpecSheet is not useful to you, write to [email protected] within 14 days of buying and we refund it. You do not have to explain, and you do not have to prove you deleted anything.

What you are buying

What a report is, and is not

SpecSheet reports what Windows and the machine's firmware told it, at one moment, on one PC. It is careful about that: a value it could not read is never filled in, and every value names where it came from.

It is not an inspection, a valuation, a warranty, or a guarantee that a machine is fit for anything. Hardware can fail the day after a clean report. Firmware can report values that are wrong, and when SpecSheet can tell that two sources disagree it says so rather than picking one.

Statements you type are yours. The seller statements section is reproduced exactly as you entered it, under your name, marked as something a person said rather than something measured. What you assert there is your claim to stand behind, not ours.

Screen capture, plainly

The unlicensed window asks Windows to keep itself out of screen captures. That is a deterrent, not a protection: Microsoft's own documentation says the mechanism is not a security feature, and a photograph of the screen will always work. We would rather say so here than imply otherwise.

Liability

SpecSheet is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected with it is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here is intended to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Who you are dealing with

SpecSheet is made by LIGHTLOAD LABS LLC, a limited liability company formed in the State of New York, United States. Payment is taken by our payment provider as merchant of record; their name appears at checkout and on your receipt.
